BAJAJ Autorikshaw ,an Indian product

An Auto rickshaw or tuk tuk (auto or rickshaw in popular parlance) is a vehicle for hire that is one of the chief modes of transport across the Indian subcontinent and many parts of South and East Asia. It is a motorized version of the traditional rickshaw or velotaxi, a small three-wheeled cart driven by a person, and is related to the cabin cycle.
The three wheeler autorickshaw is commonly used in Indian cities as taxi and for commercial transportation. It is an old technology, very easy to repair and very robust, but contributes largely to the known pollution problems in larger Indian cities.
A study shows that over 72% of the pollution in New Delhi was caused by transportation, a large part of it by the autorickshaws and two wheelers, before the current anti-pollution regulations came into force. This situation is still prevalent in other Indian cities
.

In India, Bajaj Auto Ltd. is now producing its auto rickshaw models powered by a direct injection engine made by Orbital Corporation Ltd. in Australia. A fleet of test vehicles was successfully tested in the city of Pune. The two-stroke, direct injection (DI) three-wheeler has greatly improved fuel efficiency and also brought superior performance and convenient features like self-start. The new model will initially be released into the local Pune market with a staged release of the DI vehicles to other cities in India. According to Bajaj, initial customers have enjoyed 30% fuel economy and experienced significantly improved driving characteristics. Eventually, versions running on compressed natural gas and propane will be offered.

Premier Padmini in INDIA from FIAT

Premier Padmini was an automobile manufactured in India from 1968 to 2000. Premier Automobiles Limited, erstwhile flagship company of India's Walchand Hirachand Group, assembled Fiat's Fiat 1100 cars from the 1950s until 1997. The car ruled Indian roads for three decades (1955-1985).

The Fiat 1100D based on the Fiat 1200 GranLuce Berlina debuted in India in 1964 with a 1,089 cc 4-cylinder engine, instead of the GranLuce's 1,221 cc engine.
It put out 40 bhp (30 kW) @ 4800 rpm with a maximum torque of 7.20 kgf·m (70.6 N·m) @ 3000 rpm. The original transmission was a four-speed manual gearbox that drove the rear wheels through a live axle. Weighing 895 kg (1,970 lb) the car could attain 105 km/h (65 mph).

the Premier Padmini, which till a few months back was adorning showrooms throughout the country. Its in the market since 1950's and at the time of its going to grave, the Padmini was a completely made in India product. But again, there's very little Indianess about the car, except maybe the name Padmini. The design (including the platform, engine and drive train) came from Fiat of Italy. So heavy was the Fiat influence, that half of India knew the car as Fiat rather than Premier Padmini. The same design existed in India through the years with little changes in the nuts and screws.

maruti car, though maruti is a bit modern to fiat, the advantage of driving in a fiat car is beyond one can describe from his heart and mind. Fiat car,it can make u feel so indian. let me write by numbering ,the one u feel like omit or delete just look down and u wont be troubled to read the particular numbered data i give u now. 1 Fiat entered into india, when the ambassador car was unaffordable to middle class and those who had small family.

IMPALA the classic american car from Cheverlet

Chevrolet Impala was introduced to the public in 1956 at the Motorama car show that was sponsored by General Motors. The Impala was originally a Corvette-based prototype car with a sporty four-passenger coupe and was originally created for Bel Air executive coupe and convertibles. Two years later, the consumer finally tasted the one-of-a-kind driving experience when the Impala was out in the market. With much room, performance, amenities and quality, the Impala was the answer to what Americans look for a car.

When Chevrolet sent the first Impala off the assembly line in 1958, it was meant to be "a prestige car within the reach of the average American citizen." It would seem that the company was successful; nearly 50 years on, the Chevrolet Impala has gone on to become one of America's most well-known nameplates.

Ambassador, own car of INDIA ..the first car

Ambassador - (we are calling it as AMBI) the first car to be manufactured in India, has been ruling the Indian roads ever since its inception in 1948. Originally based on Morris Oxford (United Kingdom, 1948), the Ambassador has been undergoing a series of changes, adapting to customer expectations.

, ,
,
A rebadged version of the old Morris Series II and III has been selling under the Hindustan Motors Ambassador name for 50 years. That makes it the oldest car still in production, and there are no plans to stop.

,

,
Despite the emergence of global brands such as Suzuki, Toyota, and Hyundai, the Ambassador is still the car preferred by Indian government for its ministers and diplomats. Out of the total production of 15,000 per year, the government accounts for around a quarter. The other big market is taxis, for which HM usually adds LPG or CNG fuel systems.

TATA Indigo , India's first Sedan on the road

Tata Indigo, India's first sedan, is adorned with state-of the-art features that offer not only total comfort and luxury, but international safety as well. Indigo comes equipped with a 1405 cc engine that generates 85bhp. Very competitively priced, Tata Indigo offers great value for money. It is available in petrol and diesel options.Tata Indigo comes with a number of India-specific features. Keeping in mind Indian users, and their general bodily structure, the Indigo's front seats have been given additional lumbar and thigh support for more comfort during long distance drives.

It is equipped with various features like manual power steering, manual front and rear windows, grey bumpers, half wheel covers, partial fabric lining on seat, molded roof lining, high mounted stop lamp etc.

The sedan segment has become more competitive because of the entry of new players like Maruti SX4 and Mahindra Renault Logan. Especially, the Mahindra Renault Logan 1.5L CRDi and Swift 1.3L Diesel(because of the heavy interest rate, part of the demand in the lower-end of the mid-size market has moved down to the hatch segment) is giving Indigo a tough battle.

Maruti Grand Vitara .. an indian SUV on road

Maruti VITARA : engine is a v6 and can displace 2700 cc or so. It runs on petrol and power is very good at 164 bhp. The torque could be better. 24 kgm is good, but not good enough. Incidentally, the xl-7 is the most powerful of all SUVs in its range. the engine is refined even if there is some noise. The Grand Vitara XL-7 weighs around 1.6 tones. So that works out to around 1 bhp for 10 kilos, which is good. The terracan is much heavier and its power to weight ratio is lesser. The engine is petrol and is powerful, so one can expect good performance. There is kick even lower down. It takes you by surprise with its quick acceleration. 0-100 km/h comes in just above 10 seconds! That is as good as many of the other sedans in this segment! I did not expect it to be so fast. The top speed is above 160 km/h, which is okay.
